Online Marriage Counseling- Its a shock!

  • Jan 7, 2010

Hey Everyone!

Well as you have likely guessed this is my blog dealing with my marriage breakup and the counseling process that we went through to get back together. I post this info to not only be helpful to others but also as a sort of cathartic process of healing for myself. What i went through was not easy and its been a bit of a shell shock to me.

At some stage, i'll post quite a large post regarding my relationship history and what was involved with our marriage breakdown...im just not quite strong enough to write it completely yet.

What i will say is that for those of us out there that want to make it work...there is definitely help available. Aside from the traditional counseling avenues open to couples, there is also quite alot of help online these days. Because of my personal circumstances, I was unwilling to go directly to formal counseling and instead went online for help and guidance.

My discovery, through reading with an open mind, was that I was a major stumbling block in our happiness. Alot of what I was doing was self-saboutaging and was just set-up to damage our marriage. Obviously, this was all happening subconsiously and it was a major SHOCK when I realised some of my actions. One book in particular helped me fix/save my marriage:

Online Marriage Counselling

Like anythig though, it takes an open mind to assess your actions. Whehter you choose some online help or maybe traditional therapy, you need to go in there ready to change...if you want to play the blame game then you will never achieve the happiness you desire.

Anyway, best of luck and feel free to ask any questions you might have. I'll post more about my situation in the coming weeks.

Cheers

John
